I saw my new case worker from the employment agency. We had a coffee and muffin each, and after a bit of a chat I've decided to withdraw from the program. Bugger - I was checking MyHub, which is one of the net based databases at the university (it holds a version of your study details) to check when my mandatory lectures are on. They're on Tuesday (today) between 16:00 (4pm) and 18:00 (6pm). This seems an unusually late time considering that the Honours seminars were between 1:30pm and 2:30pm.

Yep, I went out and about yesterday and my foot hurts because of it. But not as much as last week. I think the ankle support helps. I was going to stay home all day today but I have a 4pm appointment at the employment agency in town today - which I only found out about via an SMS yesterday. Had the job interview. Interesting but odd. Mostly it's "give them their nightly medication" and check out the "vital calls". I was almost overwhelmed by the information thrown at me in the interview.

I have a feeling I will get this job.

I have an interview for that job at the nursing home today. Should be fun. Actually, everything happens at once. Isn't that always the way? I was going to go to the library, the university and the shops today. Still can but I have to cut going to the last meeting this year of the Queer Collective short.

OK, I'm not making this up.

On Friday I get a call from my key worker at the employment agency. She has a job for me and this one seems, well a little odd. What it is, as far as I understand, is sleeping at a nursing home and being woken up by alarms when something serious happens. I then apply 1st aid and phone an ambulance, if need be!

Saw an advert for ArtsHub in the Tina programme.

Seems to be a job search portal for the Arts. Seems to cater for Australia, New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom. Nothing in the Newcastle area today though - bugger!

It seems that the hourly rate ($4 / $4.70 w/e) for that cleaning job isn't - it's a room rate (about $60 or 15 rooms tops). Not only that, but I may not be insured while I work there (because technically I'd be a sub-contractor). I need to sort this out. I'll be going into A1 to ask their advice today.
