Well, I just spent three hours logged into Gaia Online. I thought it would only take 30 minutes and I was wrong. Very very very addictive, and I think I must only login in while I have access to a broadband connection.

In that time, I: started a new journal (at Laura's Gaean Thoughts ); "bought" new clothes, a fishing line (and sold it again);

I have 56K at home. Gaia is slow no matter what the speed, so a broadband would be wasted on it. A couple notes: if just browsing the forums/guilds/anything text oriented you can turn off images in your browser. You will still get the gold. Also do not try to open up an insane number of windows at a time, I like to keep it to 2 or 3.
