Just now, I heard the sounds of screaming coming out of Kevin's room. It wasn't Kevin. Rather he was watching a youtube of an American Student getting tasered by university security!

It seems that the student was tasered mainly for being loud. There seem to be multiple versions of this from different viewpoints and angles. The most disturbing ( Read more... )

Yeah, I've been reading about that news. Pretty awful! I'd never use a taser on anybody ... well, except maybe boybands ...

He was tasered for asking Senator john kerry if he was a member of the Skull And Bones organisation (supposedly all U.S. presidents are members). The senator of course refused to answer.

One talk show host pointed out that kerry could have made himself look like a civil rights hero if only he'd waded in (even purposefully late...) to tell the cops to settle down. Sending a message I think?

This is the same candidate ('04 election) who when protesting against the Vietnam war claimed he'd witnessed atrocities comitted by U.S. soldiers...

Well somehow I don't think this is going to add to any chances of election.

Let's hope the govt changes *and disallows any such thing*.

I forsee a GetUp campaign.

I also note that I find it beyond ironic to read long, long threads by Americans about their greated freedom of speech.

Better I should put that last bit in here than on alt.poly!!!
