Is it wrong that I'm proud of essentially strong-arming you into writing this? Because it's brilliant.

I love Bones' frustration a lot. He just doesn't know how to sit back and turn off being a doctor - he tried to help his father, probably worked on Jim more times than he wanted to, and now his son.

Lol, no. Not wrong at all. In fact, you can credit the fact that this ever saw the light of day entirely to yourself. :D

Glad it worked out for you. I wasn't too sure in the end if the frustration was really clear enough, or if I had been just as tired as Leonard was by the time I finished and posted this, lol.

Thanks so much, for both the non-too gentle shove, and the comment.

D'aaawwwwww. Poor Bones! Watching your kid be sick is hard enough, but I imagine being a doctor, with that healing instinct, makes it worse. Poor little David!

Yeah, I think so, too. Especially for someone like Bones who gives the impression that being a doctor is so deeply ingrained in him that he simply doesn't know how to stop.

AWWWWWWWWW! Soo sweet. I hate Bones being at war with himself, but I love that he knows when it comes to David, he has to choose being a father first. Love this so much - you're brills as always!

Thanks so much! I really enjoy writing them as fathers, there's just something hug-able about the image.

Oh, my heart--it hurts.

This felt so real. Poor Bones, not being able to do what instinctively drives him. You did a lovely job at showing how much David's illness tore at him.

I love Jim comforting him in the end.

Wonderful! ♥

Ah, but Jim will always do his best to comfort Bones. This fandom is turning me into a big sap, apparently. Not that I'm complaining.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks so mch for the lovely comment.
