Can't believe I read it all in one go!

I really enjoyed this story - you definitely know how to get the reader involved with what the characters are going through.

Nice!

I absolutely love this story - every single word. There are so many scenes that resonate still in my mind - Rash'Tar reading Jim's mind and finding something there that even Jim was not consciously aware of - Bones remembering Jim's bloody shirt from the shuttle ride where they met - Jim helping Bones deal with the aftermath after he remembered he had ended his father's life.

My favorite line...
Jim reached for Bones' free hand, the one that wasn't holding the PADD, and before the other man even had the chance to pull away from his touch, he put both rings into his open palm. Closing Bones' fingers over the warm metal, Jim could only hope that Bones would understand that this wasn't just about the rings. Jim wasn't only giving him those; he was also giving Bones his heart for safekeeping.

This was a beautiful story from start to finish.

Thank you so much!

I'm really thrilled that you enjoyed the story so much. It's been a while ago already, but I enjoyed writing it very much.
And to tell you the truth, that line you quoted is one of my favourite lines in the story, too. :D

Thanks a lot for your lovely comment!
