Cherry Blossoms are Pretty!

[Abandoned are the heavy royal robes she usually wears in favor of this much more lightweight spring kimono covered in colorful butterflies. In her hair she wears the peach flower clips Elder gave her in amongst several butterfly pins that match her outfit. Ok, so the peach flower clips weren’t really cherry blossoms… but they were close!

What actually goes on for the festival? It seems like a nice time to spend the day.

Well, on Fahren we turn it into a really big festival! And all of the shop keepers open stalls along the streets where they sell yummy food and set up games!

But, its mostly about watching the flowers and having picnics under the trees! We even light paper lanterns so that the blossoms can be seen even at night!

[Thinks on this for a moment. ]

You know… this will be the first Cherry Blossom festival we have celebrated outside of the Palace garden. We usually aren’t supposed to go outside of the Imperial Palace.

We will have to see if any shopkeepers have set up any games! We have always wanted to play those!
Maybe we can catch a goldfish for Umi!

[Soul wasn't invite to the picnic nor knew about it and didn't when he departed for the gardens during the afternoon. Though the City is awash in pink, there is little disgust on his face. It isn't his choice of color, but it was still relaxing to look at. It doesn't take long before he passes Aska's spread of food and he doesn't notice his red eyes slide over to peek toward it.

His attention distracted with the food, he also doesn't notice the unearthed root jutting out from the ground and stumbles to his knees with an audible yelp.]

Tch. [He hoists himself up and after a quick pat, checks to see if anyone was watching his uncool trip.]

[Worse than just watching the fall, there is a click of a camera capturing this moment on film and an accompanying boisterous laugh. ]

That was really funny!

[Hops over to look at this very coordinated person. ]

Are you hurt? You should really watch where you are walking you know… there are roots like that all over the place!

[Soul's eyes rolled - this isn't what he wanted from today. Not only did he embarrass himself in public, but it was where people could laugh and point at him. Cool thing to do was not let it look like it bothered him. As he dusts off his sports jacket, he eyes the girl questionably. Didn't she just laugh at him?]

[If your pride has been injured Aska hasn’t noticed, she only looks to see if you scrapped your knee or anything.]

Did you come to join the Cherry Blossom watching picnic we set up? Even if you didn’t we have a lot of food and tea if you want some!

They do! We actually have plants that look just like these in our Imperial Garden.

You don’t have these on Cephiro? Maybe we can import some for you when we return… It’s sad not to have any of these.
