ok, i love jenny lewis as much as you, but why can't i get into acid tongue?! WHY?!?! I'VE TRIED! i love everything else she's done. i even thought her cover of handle with care was cute! i loved the wizard as a kid! fucking fred savage! AND jenny lewis! fuck! BUT WHY DON'T I LIKE ACID TONGUE?! :(

Like seriously, can you watch that video and not love that song?

I really wasn't sure about it the first time around, but it's really grown on me. I actually only listened to it for the first time this past weekend, driving home from Halifax.

But I can't listen to the first song, "Black Sand". I can't do a whole song with her singing in that range. But "The Next Messiah"? "Jack Killed Mom"? AMAZING.

All that being said, I still don't have much of a taste for Rilo Kiley, for whatever reason.

i love the gang vocals! i'd like to imagine that's how they did it for the album too, all hugging around one mic.

They very well might have! I believe they tried to record all the tracks at once, so it would have as live a feeling as possible.

You know, it is much teased and mocked and all that about how she was a child star. But the thing is, I had a total crush on her when I was a kid. Troop Beverly Hills. She was my favorite ever. And she still is! I find that kind of amazing.
