Pre-series. Sam is sick with a bad cold/cough, and they've been driving all day because there's a hunt in another town and John wants to get there by that night. So John's in his truck and Dean and teen Sam (like 15-17 years old) are following behind in the Impala. Sam is sick and miserable all day, but as they day goes on, he gets worse, and eventually spikes a really high fever. So Sam is all loopy and super feverish, and Dean is torn between doing what John wants to do, and giving John a call and just demanding that they stop somewhere and take care of Sam.
Yeah, if no one else writes it, I might give it a try, too! :) But I figured I'd post it as a prompt, since I still have a couple of other fics from tg's meme that I'm trying to work on.
Btw, if you do write it, bonus points if this conversation happens: Dean reaches over to feel Sam's forehead. "Hey, Dean." "Yeah, buddy?" "You have a fever," Sam giggles deliriously.

"I'm here. We're gonna get you some meds okay? Some water too." Dean looked at Dad, he may have been talking to Sam but those were orders for someone else.
By the time Dad came back with a paper pharmacy bag and a half frozen water bottle, Dean was helping Sam out of the tub, wrapping him in a towel and stripping off his wet clothes.
"Dean, where do you want. . ." Dad moved out of the way as Dean brought Sam into the main room and settled him on the bed not scattered with medical supplies.
Dad gave him the bag and sat on the other bed, waiting to be told what to do. As long as Dean was all right, Sam was his domain.
"I've got it from here." Dean dumped out the bag and got to work.

Oh dear that was wonderful! I loved how John is giving orders when it comes to the hunt and all but when it comes to Sam, Dean falls into command mode and his father actually listens!! And Sam's just so adorable when he's miserable :) Thank you for posting this! It was brilliant!!
