I'm glad you liked the story! It was fun to write. You're so right about it being the kind of injury you need to laugh at otherwise you'll cry. It's still hard not to laugh when you witness it but once you understand the person's in real pain, it takes the laughter away.. for a few minutes ;D

Poor Sam. I know how much that hurts. I once had bronchitis so bad that I fractured my spine. Not fun! Wish we got more goofy brotherly h/c moments like this on the show! Makes me want to do a s1 rewatch.

Now that you mention it, I want to watch s1 again too! I miss the brotherly goof as well. They have grown up well, but there's a part of me that still misses all the teasing and name-calling from when the boys were boys.

This was just the happy, fluffy, sweet break that I needed! Of course Dean comes rushing to Sam's aid, of course it isn't all that weird between them. I liked Dean's approval of Sam's friends, the whole knowing that he has good people around to help him. Although it seems like there was something more going on in Sam's life, some other reason why he got hurt. I was a little surprised Dean didn't press more on that account.

Dean figuring out that Sam was taller than him now was priceless! I liked the way he helped get him up too.

Awwwwwww, boys. I love the dynamic here and the feel of this fic. I especially love the scene with Dean helping Sam stand up without pain. But, overall, he's such a good big brother. And Sammy's a good younger brother to realize he CAN call Dean for help and, no matter what, Dean's going to be there for him. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww. Loved this.
