The forger didn't sound-- much less look-- particularly angry, but it was still glaringly obvious that he was. His speech was too fast, his sentences too clipped, his meanings too clear.

i really liked this and i really loved that line. ugh, eames.

that said, i really wish arthur's relationship with sam had been less disposable, because this rode the "no women are as good for arthur as eames is" pretty closely, and the fact that we never heard from or of her again after arthur's "i'm sorry" was troubling; but i think what saved this fic for me, on the whole, is that basically everyone was disposable to them in the end except for each other.

I really enjoyed this completely new take on them. For me at least. You write very artfully. You somehow managed to keep everything a bit obscure and secreted between them but gave us just enough dialogue to be along for the ride. Thank you ^.^

Oh, thank you so much! Ha, ha, sometimes I was afraid I was being too indirect and not giving enough "substance", so to speak, to keep people interested. But this is a very personal story for me, so I wanted to do it this way. I'm really, really glad it worked for you. :)
