It's been a month now since my last update. I've been a little less outgoing lately - not exactly to the point of being a social outcast with nobody to talk to but I've been favouring some nice quiet nights in with some quality films, games, TV and the like and going out just once a week instead of every day that I can. How do you like GTA4?

I'm about 51% in and pretty much failing most missions I play. Its frustrating when you fail because some guy you're with is too much of a pleb not to die and then you have to drive ALL the fucking way back to the start again and so on. Or when you're on a chasing mission and virtually every fucker on the road seems to get in your way on purpose :'(

I got Boom Blox on Wii though, fun ;]

Taking a more relaxed, 'night in' approach to life is great too. You do need to strike a decent balance, for your money's sake more than anything.

GTA4 is awesome - I realised how especially great it was when I went back and played GTA3/Vice City, holy shit that game looks so much worse than it did when it was new. It's absolutely lovely and the amount of detail in the city is immense (not got to the west island yet though). The missions are cool (getting Roman's taxi/apartment burned down was epic) and yeah it's just fun, though I agree it's bloody annoying when you have to spend 10 minutes driving somewhere on a mission, die and have to do it all over again.

Also I don't really care about doing the whole relationships or playing pool or bowling so it's annoying that not doing that makes your scores drop.

Otherwise I just pirated up distorted and gold last week so it's nice to have two whole games worth of songs to dick about with when I'm bored. And my mate pretty much lives in my place now playing Brawl so there's always that too.

And yeah I'm trying to have some money left over for going back to uni, which is always one nice side effect of being a lazy bastard :P

Hmm... well your perspective helps. Thanks! It still felt a little strange but I'll just not take it as anything more than simply going out for a drink. That'll make things simpler...

Shame to hear about your troubles, but relaxing in doors is nothing to be ashamed of. It can be good to get away from people sometimes :).

Of course I know what you mean and I've done the same thing before in a purely platonic manner but you know when something just feels different... it really doesn't matter anyway.

I wouldn't go so far as to call them "troubles" as it's simply not going out quite as frequently and I'm certainly enjoying chilling with some decent films, games and comedy; it just doesn't feel too liberating to opt out of socialising when given the option. I got called lazy by my friend for not going out yesterday, even though I had to stay in to pick up a friend who was staying over >:(
