I actually loved Luke's response AND his thoughts at the end. I think he may have liked Reid before then, but something changed in the elevator.

As for the differences between Luke and Noah's relationship and Luke and Reid's relationship? I honestly think that while Nuke started with a spark, they lost their flame fast, whereas LuRe might have started out slowly, but resulted in a "pleasurable combustion," as you said.

I loved this, it was very well-written!

I agree, too. I think that the elevator incident really opened Luke's eyes as to who Reid really is, and you could tell that Luke liked what he saw. :-) I loooove the elevator episode!

And I love how in this, Luke thought his answer would disappoint Reid, but instead it was the opposite. Honesty really is the best policy. ♥

Honestly seriously is the best way to go. If only the characters on the soop would learn that, a lot of drama could be avoided!

Oh Luke, neither one has to be better. It is what it is. Not every love starts out as instant sparks or love at first site. Some love does have to slowly build. Hell, there doesn't even need to be a moment. Maybe one day you just realize that you're in love with that man. Doesn't mean it's not as powerful or as meaningful as the other types of connection.

This was lovely. I love that Luke is conflicted a little for his feelings. If Luke has to be torn between the two I would love it if this was how the show do it. Alas, we know it won't be.

I love your writing. It's always a treat to read your stuff. :)

I liked this.. and I'd like somebody to ask Van about this debate of when he feels attracted to Reid for the first time, but yeah, everybody should have their own opinion :)

It's part of what I love about them: you never quite know when they fell for each other. The attraction was instantaneous, it just presented itself as animosity at first. And I don't know that I believe Reid's answer to Noah about the second or third time he saw Luke. But yeah, I'd like to hear Van's thoughts on it.
