I still want to volunteer Gellert! He'd be up for the chance if Rex asks him or if Rex just wants to wonder what nanomites would do to magic that's been taken away, just out of scientific curiosity, I'm up for him just sticking him anywyay.

And it'll all go horribly wrong and won't restore his powers anyway.

And no worries, he won't give Rex away. He understands experiments go wrong so he won't be telling on him, if he knows it's him.

HMMMM. I still need to think if he'd target wizards or not. But if he does, then Gellert's definitely in!

btw. Personal opinion: I see Rex as more randomly sneaking up and stabbing people rather than asking for volunteers. Plus it's more fun AND gives the detective types (Tim, Costigan, whoever) more to do.

HNNGGHHGHGH I thought I'd responded to this already, but I see no response.

SO, OKAY.

Basically, I think that's more his style, too. He doesn't really care about consent, and I don't think he'd send somebody out to handle his PRECIOUS BABBIESSSSS; he'd want to do the injections himself.

My problem is-- and this is why I offered making it a volunteer effort-- coming up with how he could conceivably do this and get away with it, since he's a skinny nerd and also would be likely to get spotted. The only thing I can think of is he covers his face and he gets one or two croneys for "muscle", who also hide their identities. BUT WHO?

Aside from his sister. But it would be painfully obvious if it was the two of them.

As far as muscle.. Danny hates non-humans, he's made that pretty clear. Sark or Costigan (not sure if Costigan would do it) from MARS. Paddy's always good for brute force. Maybe Adam, Elle and/or Sylar, to get their abilities back (as in they help bring in others and get their abilities in exchange, not realizing it's only a day or two).

Him running around with like a dart blower makes me laugh so hard, BUT NO. Basically, in the movie he has a big bitchin' syringe he jams into people's necks/behind the ear (IT LEAVES BEHIND A COBRA INSIGNIA SCAR god he's such a nerd). Here, however, he only has normal syringes, so he can't inject people with as large a dose as he's used to, and he can't... inject them in the... brain. Or whatever.

HMMM. Of all the ones you mentioned, Adam, Elle and Sylar are likely the ones he'd employ to help him restrain people (and again, he'd insist that they hide their identities while doing so), since he figures they'd be desperate enough for powers (as they've been the most vocal about their powers) that he can keep them under his thumb.

And he'd likely only tell one of them who he is, and make that one be the point person for the others. IDK if he'd want more than two cronies for this, since he really just needs somebody who's stronger than him to hold somebody down while he goes STAB.
