It had to happen...

And what's that, you ask? FIRE. Yes. FIRE. So Barge, Beatty's taking advantage of the relative quiet to entertain you all with a campfire! And what's this campfire made out of it? Why...books, of course. Mostly books that O'Brien got for him* and some that he already had in his possession. The ones from the library will disappear for a while, but they'll return in time.

Um, basically what's going to happen is Beatty's going to head up on deck at a time where not many, if anyone, is up there, make sure that everything is contained- because he's a good fireman, quickly pour a bit of his leftover alcohol on it, light it on fire and make a quick post about it. AT THIS POINT...anyone is free to stop him or whatever. He's not looking to get away with it, obviously. And he'll go quietly with any warden who comes to fetch him. As for the fire...he doesn't want to burn down the barge, so he'll have it pretty well contained. It can be put out just like any fire.

MAINLY...I'm doing this for character development, not for MASS CHAOS. But fire plots can be pretty tricky on a boat...that's why there are a lot of precautions going into place here. I don't want this to turn into mass chaos at all.

(*MAJOR NOTE: If your character gave O'Brien a book that you do NOT want destroyed, let me know here. It would be very easy for him to either leave it in the room or not yet go into the fire or whatever. So please, PLEASE don't hesitate to speak up if you don't want that to happen. I'm tooooootally flexible.)
