Yeah, he fucking well did. It was enough to make Rayne wonder if claiming he didn't remember anything was just an act or not. Green eyes narrowed and fists clenched as dampir sized up vampire... It was only his different appearance which put the insult in the 'probably coincidental' category.
There was a Butcheress in Rayne's history. One who also came to be her first inmate - and drove her quite insane at the time.

One of the two blades along Rayn's forearms swung out. She wanted to get this done with and it was the equivalent of showing a criminal your gun.
