Well, that's just rude.

Jim glanced up from his PADD at her, as he had been sitting at his desk and.. playing a rousing game of solitaire but that wasn't really important. So he put the device aside and leaned back in his chair slightly.

"What's up?"

She closed the door behind her and leant against it, arms crossed.

"Do you seriously think I don't care? About anything?"

That was so blunt that it took Jim a moment to think of a response to it. And it was maybe a little sad that his first thought was to wonder if someone had told her that or if she had come to that conclusion herself.

"Well, if I thought that and it was true, you probably wouldn't be asking me." Which was not an answer at all.
