It's possible this is the first time she's been to a regular meal time in... all right, so maybe she wasn't going during peak eating hours for a while before that coma, but she can totally just slip in and eat some cereal in a corner, right? (She really just wants some coffee.)

Beatty had never really enjoyed eating with a group. He supposed that he should have, but sharing meals with these people just seemed...unappealing. However, when he saw Cissie, he changed his mind for the moment, moving to sit down beside her.

"Good morning, little girl." It had been a while since he had spoken to her. And, really, that had affected him. He just wasn't aware of it just yet.

Cissie wasn't sure what surprised her more--that Beatty sat with her, or that he actually spoke to her. She was still a little irrationally annoyed with him for his book burning; she knew it wasn't her place to care anymore, but it didn't stop her.

At the moment, though, she just gave a little smile and took a sip of her coffee. "Hello, old man. How are you?"

"Hm. She speaks." He pretended to see surprised by that, but he didn't actually try to put any genuine feeling into that. Instead, he broke apart his toast. "I suppose that I am fine. As fine as I could be, you understand."

Once upon a time, Cissie was in the gym every day. And then she stopped going. And then she was in a coma. It's not an issue if she just starts going again like she never stopped... unless she gets in there and realizes she still doesn't really feel like doing anything and kind of... stands there like a moron looking at her archery gear.

"You're alive."

It's not surprised, just an acknowledgement. Yep, definitely alive. Arthas is still in the gym every day, usually monopolizing the fencing gear.

Truth be told, he doesn't actually remember Cissie's name, but there is a lump of heavily-ignored guilt that he kidnapped her at one point.

Cissie glanced over at him, eyebrows rising in surprise. She's not as afraid of Arthas as she probably should be, especially given the kidnapping, but... well, Sexby hurt her more than Arthas ever did, and while she knows he's dangerous, he hasn't hurt her since that one incident. ...Which lead to a much larger incident involving a lot of other people, of course.

But right now, she felt surprised more than alarmed, and just gave a small smile in reply. "Yeah, I am. And so are you, I see."

"Not as such."

He did a few drills, and was in fact seeming to not acknowledge any further that she was in the room, but then he speaks without looking over.

"Have training in that, or are you just trying it out?"

The arrow set always reminds him of Sylvanas. He really shouldn't miss her.

MOLLY'S ROOM notarrowette November 9 2011, 12:44:21 UTC
...She should really go get her cat. Hi Molly! There's a knock at your door. Cissie's a little embarrassed.

[Why embarrassed? Molly is showering love and attention on your cat.]

Molly looked up at the sound of the knock. "Just a minute," she called out. She'd warded her cabin when things started to get scary, and really, it was good policy. But it meant that people couldn't just walk in anymore. She had to actually get up and let them in. She opened the door and smiled a little at Cissie. "I thought you might come by."

She smiled and leaned against the door. "You mean because you kidnapped my cat?"

"Didn't I remember to leave a ransom note?" She grinned at her. "Show up at my door when you wake up, or the cat gets it? And By 'it' I mean spoiled. Rotten." She stepped back. "You can come in."

THE DECK notarrowette November 9 2011, 12:46:13 UTC
Part of not hiding in her room is... not hiding in her room. So Cissie is on the deck with a book, but she's not reading so much as pretending to read, or staring into space, because it is pretty cool up here, especially now that it's normal again.

Una's out for a walk with Dios, who is mostly just happy to be out and about and not terrorised by, well, everything. Her left arm is still in a sling-at least for the next fortnight, she guesses-though she's starting to get used to it. Of course, since she has Dios's leash in her good hand, she can't wave to Cissie, so she calls out a greeting. "Afternoon, Cissie."

Una is one of the handful of people Cissie genuinely wanted to see, so when she looks up and sees her, she smiles easily and sets her book aside. "Hi, Una. Hi Dios," she says, greeting the dog as well.

She spots Una's arm in its sling and frowns. "Are you all right? What happened?"

Dios bounds forward as far as his leash will let him, and Una moves closer so that he can greet Cissie with a cheerful bark and slightly slobbery dog-kisses.

"I took a bad fall in the CES while the imposter Admiral was running the show," Una says. "It's just a sprain, but it's enough to be a right bloody inconvenience. Did you get through that all right?"

OUTSIDE THE INFIRMARY notarrowette November 9 2011, 12:51:40 UTC
So there is a flaw in her 'pretend that coma never happened' plan, and it is that she's missed a bunch of shifts in the infirmary. And so 'act like nothing happened' is a little difficult when it means marching into work like you haven't been AWOL for ages. So Cissie... is kind of hanging out in the hallway, looking at those infirmary doors REALLY HARD, because she also feels guilty for not being around for the recent crisis.

...She will wind up standing there for longer than is healthy if someone doesn't bump into her/drag her away/drag her inside. Or all three.
