[James is officiating this shindig, as princes can do for whatever reason. DON'T QUESTION IT, DON'T ASK HIM WHO HE REALLY IS AND ALL WILL BE WELL. Also he will legit try and hide from everyone after everything is over because what if they find out who he really is D:]

They didn't invite him! They didn't invite him! The great and powerful Moriarty! Well, he would show them all! He tested out his evil laughter as he approached the wedding site and raised his arms up, trying to summon lightning. Nothing happened. He stopped and tried again, seeing only flickers of light in the corner of his vision.

Lightning bugs.

Well, that was certainly an improvement from last time he tried that spell. "Come, minions!" he said to them and they obediently followed, flashing their lightning bottoms as they did.

"What a lovely celebration!" he called out, waving his arms around in an attempt to get someone's attention. "Why didn't I receive an invitation? I most certainly have deserved one! And all of this lovely food?! Surely you didn't expect to keep me out of it all." He flicked his magic wand towards some of the chairs from the ceremony. It goes flying and sails into a tree.

YES! It worked. This made him happy.

At Moriarty's grand entrance, Charles had happened to be looking in the right direction to be able to see him chuck his wand into a tree. Despite himself, he sighed and rolled his eyes a little.

Of all the people he'd invited, there had been one who had been explicitly kept from the guest list. The Tuckers (and to a lesser extent, the Elves) were pretty casual about who they were friends with and forgiveness and all that, but the one person they didn't like? Was Moriarty.

And as apparently his siblings and parents were otherwise occupied, he walked over to address the sorcerer.

"You weren't invited."

Moriarty gave him a sassy smile and bowed slightly. Without his wand, he couldn't use his magic effectively. But his fireflies were still nearby and he pointed in the direction of the wedding. They headed that direction, flitting around in people's faces.

He was truly evil.

"Of course not! But you can't keep me from a celebration, Charles."

[Seven had been utterly bemused by this port. She had once, thanks to some Hirogen, forgotten who she was and became, for all intents and purposes, someone not herself, but that was due to an implant, which here either wasn't applicable, or undetectable by her tricorder. Regardless, given the ennui which this event had been considered by her… new colleagues, she chose to quietly observe rather than intervene.

Then she got wind of this wedding. Curious more than anything, Seven decided to bring her observations there. As a result, decked in a simple dress, she arrived at the reception area.]

[T'Pol was not the most social of hosts at the best of times, but this was something of a special occasion. She mingled more than usual, intending to treat it as a diplomatic function - instead, she found herself enjoying the duty, and pleased to see people she did not know.]

Hello, [she said when she spotted Seven.] Have you been enjoying yourself?

[T'Pol smiled, inclining her head in return.] Thank you. It's been a long time in coming.
