There was no sound of a step beyond the door, but it unlocked with a quiet click as Will hesitated. A mute, easy-to-pretend-it-went-unnoticed invitation.

Will heard it, but didn't, and it was a few steps beyond before he realized what it was. Hesitating again. Then he turned back and knocked on the door. The mental images of their last meeting pre-Asylum were all too readily at the forefront of his mind. The alcohol quieted them somewhat.

Hannibal opened the door and stood there framed, then stepped back and lifted his chin slightly. "Evening, Will." A small smile.

His manner was gentled from last time considerably; his sleeves were rolled and he had charcoal on his hands, which likely explained it.

"Is this a social call?" A gentle joke. His eyes pierced Will's only briefly, and then a line appeared between his brows and his gaze softened.

"...no, it isn't, is it.

"Please." He stepped aside and gestured. Within was an elegant Italian hotel room, the desk in the corner covered with drawings and bits of origami.

"Thanks." He entered, and this time there wasn't a coat to give. His own cabin seemed spartan compared to this one. It was nice, if a little too close to what Hannibal had before. That was likely the point. It shouldn't bother him.

"It's social. As much as it can be." There was subtle intent to keep a distance between them, but without the cold focus of their first meeting on the Barge. "Drawing again, I take it?" Seemed polite to ask.
