"I hope you aren't too put out by my deception, Sergeant."

George is quite pleased with his lack of just blurting the whole thing out...a second time.

"Well you've got everybody else to thank for that," George insists. "Most everybody was quite keen to help out in some way, but besides putting up the banners and putting out the refreshments, there wasn't much to do but bring more refreshments. And you've got to admit: ice cream is very refreshing."

Rollin' that food cart down the hall, trailing lots of foody smells in her wake...it's a feast and she's pushing half of it. Including several giganticookies and a bearburger to share.

"Helloo!" she knocks on the door. "I hope people are hungry!"

Bear...burger?

"You've been...busy."

Wanda whips off the steam covers and reveals a sliced up cheeseburger the size of a pizza, and some dinner plate sized cookies to match. "We worked hard." More normal offerings are under the other covers.

"Is that natural?"

It must have been quite the cow.

[Nom nom, party time. Victor's got a drink and is looking at one of the banners. He's handling his drink awkwardly because whoops, his hands are still a bit injured. So this is what a party of the future looks like.]

[The not quite future, possibly. Banners are a bit dated as a concept. Suddenly: George.]

"I do have extras."

Oh dear, my history. It was slipping. XD failedcreator August 9 2011, 08:39:19 UTC
You do? [Victor looks quite impressed.] Sir, have you constructed these things yourself?

Yes. Yes I have.

[George beams proudly. The letters are nearly all the straight, and everything ended up being spelled correctly.]

Jane was more than tired by the time that Howie finally walked in, but at least she had been able to help George out. So she wandered around, making sure everything was as it should be. People were fed, things weren't broken, banners were staying up. Typical party concerns.

George manages to catch up to her wandering somewhere between the food and the banners.

"You're more than welcome to enjoy the part to you know," he points out. "You've already done far more than enough. I may owe you a party."

Slater made sure he had a beer and some of that cheeseburger and sat in a corner. He is such a party-goer.

"Mr. Slater! Hello."

I'm sorry to have to tell you, Mr. Slater, but George likes you.

"Hello, George."

This bemuses Slater completely.

George has that effect on people.

"How are you this evening?"
