Eddie was sure some of these must have a barcode, because one of them really did remind him of a Rhinosaurus. At least, one of the ones he'd seen from a distance. He was looking for smaller ones which might provide something more informative.

Either way, he had come across something small and asleep. That looked promising, and just as he was about to inspect further, he heard Victor shout him, "Over here, Victor!"

And the dinosaur woke up. It didn't look too pleased. Were those eggs? "Oh plums."

At the sound of Eddie's voice, Victor changed direction abruptly. It didn't take long to find Eddie, looking at something rather large on the ground. Something that appeared to be breathing. And waking up. Victor stayed very still.

If there was one thing that he'd learned in the arctic, it was that a man could eat more or less any animal that he came across. The second thing he'd learned that almost every animal was likely to attempt to kill or maim any human it came across as well. It had lead to something interesting confrontations. But not with any creatures similar to dinosaur.

"Warden! Flee! The creature will not take kindly to your presence." Victor said helpfully, backing away himself. He wished desperately that he had a weapon.

"I don't want to startle it." He started to back off slowly, as it was starting to look incredibly angry about Eddie's presence. This was when Eddie spotted something underneath his foot which made a crunching noise. That would be an egg.

He hadn't seen it as everything was one shade of grey or another and an egg hadn't really stood out.

"Victor. RUN." At this, he turned and fled, because he knew that angry mother animals were not good.

Victor's mouth may have dropped open just a little bit at the sight of Eddie stepping onto an egg. He'd hadn't noticed it until the crunch, but once he did he also noticed the fact that the dinosaur herself had noticed it. He didn't need to be told twice to run. He started running, fast.

"Edward!" Victor shouted back over his shoulder as he headed for the trees, looking desperately for some thicker undergrowth. "We must venture into the depths of the jungle, where it cannot pursue us!"

It was amazing how, even when short of breath, he still managed such lengthy sentences.
