JUDAS (Totes open, man.) heavenonthemind January 5 2011, 17:06:38 UTC
The Apostle had been mulling about, doing his usual thing. He'd been secretly keeping a closer eye on Clapet, considering that Donny and Sexby had brought them in. He didn't mean to be bias, his loyalty to both of them was simply more important than necessarily doing his job correctly with everyone. Still, he sat quietly, glancing down at his communicator briefly before getting up again to check the vitals of the nearest patient.

[A nearby, very small explosion happens nearby. So small, that it was only the fact that it was happening in the infirmary of all places that was surprising. Omega bore a sheepish expression, the scalpel hastily placed back on its table.] Terribly sorry. I, uh, may have gone overboard adding settings to the laser scalpel. [Pause.] Still. Useful if someone comes in encased in some manner of hardened material. [Clearly, logic here is sound.]

Judas startled a little a the sound of the small explosion. He hurriedly glanced over at Omega, furrowing his eyebrows despite the fact that he usually was pretty alright with technology.

"The what?" he had to ask, unsure of what that even meant.

[Omega picks it up, resetting it back to its original setting. He activates it, sending a small stream of light out.] A laser scalpel. Used as a normal one, but you don't have to sterilise it.

EMH's shift (HAHA vague.) doctornoname January 5 2011, 18:45:48 UTC
[The EMH is currently analyzing some blood samples until he's needed to tend to the rather large compliment of recovering patients.]

Judas quietly knocks on the door to the office, swallowing a little nervously as he does so. Sure, the EMH is his neighbor and they've talked briefly but the Apostle likes to at least be somewhat friendly with the people he works with.

"Sir?" he asks quietly.

The Doctor looks up from his work and smiles genuinely. How can you not like someone who sings?

"Judas! I didn't realize you were here."

Judas smiled courteously back, already feeling a little better. Still, he answered, "I usually work from seven to four, but my warden seems a little busy."

He really wasn't supposed to work longer than four, but there were a great deal of other things happening on the Barge and he wanted to do something other than sit around.

"I was wondering if I could ask you something."

Cissie (Open, open, open!) notarrowette January 5 2011, 19:43:31 UTC
Technically she's not staff so much as... perpetually on-call. But Cissie has been feeling incredibly out-of-sorts since Sylar's (to her) abrupt personality change and being dumped. There are only so many hours a girl can spend in the gym, and she doesn't want to smother her inmate, so she goes to the infirmary and hopes maybe if she sneaks in and is quiet, she can organize supplies or take inventory. If she's not in anyone's way, maybe she can stay and feel like she's somewhat useful.

Cissie looked up and gave a friendly smile. She hadn't met Sarah yet, though she knew there had been a lot of new arrivals recently. Even if she had met her before, Loki probably would have been successful with his subterfuge. She offered a hand in greeting.

"Yeah, hi. I'm Cissie. Can I help you with anything?"

[Gee LJ, thanks for eating my notif. :|]

Armand St. Just [open to visitors and staff] young_idealist January 5 2011, 20:01:40 UTC
Armand slept off his enormous blood donation to Claudia and hoped not to answer questions about it. He'd been treated for the basics, probably on an IV for re-hydration, and had his wrist bandaged. He felt very lethargic even when he wasn't asleep, so he just slept when no one was with him.

Martha was going to quite possibly murder him just a little bit. She would do it out of love and caring, but she worried about him and about the fact that he'd decided to allow Claudia to make a meal out of his wrist. He was actually on a blood transfusion to replace the amount that he'd lost at the hands (well teeth) of the little vampire. Her voice was soft. "So what made you decide this was a good idea, Armand? Especially when she'd already fed off once person."

The doctor had dropped into the stool next to him, and met his eyes quickly.

It was no good arguing with Martha or pretending anything other than the truth. "I believed how hungry she was." He had reasons. Stringing sentences together well enough to explain them probably was still a little beyond him.

Being horribly anemic wasn't as painful as a death toll, so he couldn't say he was hurting. "I care about her. I hoped she wouldn't take so much so I could talk to her after..." But that failed. He'd only proven to her that she could trust him. He hoped anyway. He wasn't certain what he'd gained if she didn't now.

Martha put her hand on his forehead in a frankly old fashioned gesture, considering all the the advanced equipment that the infirmary was outfitted with, but she found it comforting to do it that way. There was something natural about the whole touching thing that you didn't get with a scanner.

"I know you care for her, Armand, but letting her feed on you when it isn't an emergency situation isn't the answer. We've got a solution here that might help. It's a blood replenishing potion and it might make you feel better more quickly."

[Clapet is over here, in bed, trying to catch someone's attention without yelling the place down. He would like more painkillers.

Also, he's open to being visited. Not that he expects it now that he's discovered Warren's disappeared, and Donny's already been by. That, and he's unaware how many people know he's here.

He'd also like to thank a doctor for keeping him alive, but that was something that made him a little more nervous, and was a little less pressing than 'painkillers!' as a thought process.]

[Martha moved through the infirmary looking a little tired, but she was wearing her traditional white lab coat and she paused next to Clapet's bed, picking up the chart on the end of it and looking through it.

Time and practice had made her a bit of a master at reading with one eye and smiling at the patient with another, and she quickly looked to him.]

Glad to see you're awake, Mr. Clapet. How are you? How's the pain level?

Very high. I'd like some painkillers. [He grimaced, giving the doctor a slight nod. Pain first, then he'd deal with the fact that she saved her life.] Now.

[Martha nodded when he said that the pain level was very high. Quickly she went to the locked case and removed a bottle of morphine. She put some in the syringe and then injected it into his IV.]

You should be feeling some relief soon.
