The doctor had dropped into the stool next to him, and met his eyes quickly.

Being horribly anemic wasn't as painful as a death toll, so he couldn't say he was hurting. "I care about her. I hoped she wouldn't take so much so I could talk to her after..." But that failed. He'd only proven to her that she could trust him. He hoped anyway. He wasn't certain what he'd gained if she didn't now.

"I know you care for her, Armand, but letting her feed on you when it isn't an emergency situation isn't the answer. We've got a solution here that might help. It's a blood replenishing potion and it might make you feel better more quickly."
Reply
"It was an emergency to her. K wants to lock her up."
But he was torn about the potion. "Do what you think is best, Martha. I suppose it's better than taking up one of your beds needlessly."

She watched him for a long moment, and then asked again. "You don't need to try it if ya don't want to, Armand. It's just another option."

And that was probably the most he'd said since the day before. He closed his eyes, catching his breath for a moment. "I know she's been here before, but she's newly returned from who knows where..." But he sighs and shakes his head. "I don't wish to argue. Is it worse to take up a bed or take up a hard to replace potion?"
Reply
"The potions aren't at all hard to replace." There's a small flash of a look when she says that, and then she looks to him again. "But some people don't want to be treated using magic. It's entirely up to you and where you'd rather spend your time."

He'd been trying so very hard not to tell too many people who it was that bit him, and being cryptic was a little hard on him. "I'm afraid Loki may actually hurt her now. I've refused to tell him who it was." It broke his heart to think that Loki would get himself into trouble over this, when he'd begged the god not to do anything.
"If... I take the potion, may I go back to my own cabin in the morning?"
Reply
"He cares very deeply for you, Armand. Even when you were not his warden, he still worried over you, like during the zombie port..." Martha hadn't told him that Loki had threatened her life when he'd been in his odd status state. "You need to tell him that you'd be angry with him if he did something, or threaten to take away his powers, perhaps?" Martha Jones tried to problem solve other people's problems... especially when her own were rather large.
"Yes, you'll be feeling completely well by tomorrow morning if you take it."
Reply
"I know how he feels--" But Armand didn't feel able to go on with that thought. "Please give me your medicine, Martha. I want to think." Or cry, which was far easier to do when she wasn't watching him.

A smile and she rose to grab it from the stores, and then she came back with it in a small medical cup; it seemed like a better idea than the bottles. "Here."
Reply
"Thank you, Martha." He wasn't sure how much long he'd be able to keep his composure. "You probably don't have to hover for it work."
