Ned had heard about Bob's steaming plan, and had decided to give the man some space. He didn't know fully what had happened over the flood, while he had been asleep - and Ned was kicking himself ten ways to Sunday about leaving his inmate, but that was another issue entirely. What he did know was that Bob had seemed to know what he was doing, and that he probably needed some space. Now, however, Ned walked up to his inmate, his hands in his pockets.

"Hey," he said, leaning against the rail next to Bob and looking out at the stars for a long moment, before asking, "Feeling better?"

"47 wants me to show him how to build a sled in the CES," he said, ignoring the 'are you feeling better?' question. He was too preoccupied to properly know how he was feeling and while launching himself of the barge wasn't on his mind, saying 'yes' didn't seem right either. "With your permission."

Ned, ever amicable, was about to agree out of habit before he stopped himself. "Y - no. Sorry, I mean, I'm all for sledding, but with all due respect, I need for you to talk to me first."

Pushing back from the rail, Ned took a seat on one of the chairs - not directly next to Bob, but close enough that his presence couldn't easily be ignored - and folded his hands in his lap. He gave Bob a look that indicated he was listening, and that he expected Bob to begin.

"I am talking to you," he replied.
