Who: Iroh and YOU! What: A day in the life. When: IT'S THURSDAY but I'm slack on exactly which day all these threads necessarily take place. Where: All over the Barge.
[It's usually pretty quiet at this time of morning. Iroh is sitting cross-legged on the deck, nominally meditating, but he keeps cracking an eye open to look around. It's totally not spying, it's observing. You are all very interesting.]

[Aziraphale doesn't actually sleep, so he's taken to drinking tea in the quiet mornings with only a book for company. Today he's surprised to find someone already in his intended location.
They do seem occupied, though; he quietly finds a seat at a table somewhere. The small tea set that came along with him is nothing fancy, but decidedly well used. The book is old-looking, thick, and musty, the sort an academic could debate over.
The angel hunkers down to read, but he does wave up a second tea cup (which entirely matches the first) in case the stranger is inclined to join him.]
[On the next eye-crack, Iroh notices the second teacup, and he smiles to himself as he rises to his feet; he's not one to fail to notice the unspoken invitation. The spontaneous appearance of the teacup is remarkable but he's seen many things in his life.]
Good morning! [He smiles amicably as he approaches the other man.]

Oh, good morning, [answers Aziraphale, smiling openly in response and putting aside his book.] You're welcome to join me if you'd like; I only hope I haven't interrupted you.

[Having taken over supervising the breakfast shift, Iroh's seen the session to an end and is now sitting at one of the tables, eating rice porridge. He wouldn't force it on anyone else but shhh, he likes it.]
[Iroh's shifted his routine slightly, and now in early afternoon he finds a quiet spot - this time, on a large flat rock near a lake - to practice Firebending forms. It looks like a slow kata, except there's the occasional arc of yellow flame from his hands or feet.]
Re: 2.00PM - CESrani_ushasMay 13 2010, 14:41:50 UTC
[The Rani has been taking advantage of her warden-granted access to the CES pretty often, actually. More often than she might admit. She's been rambling about the environment for a while when she sees Iroh and stops to watch, fascinated.]
Re: 2.00PM - CESgrand_lotusMay 13 2010, 15:40:38 UTC
[Iroh becomes aware of a newcomer - just in the corner of his eye - but he doesn't still immediately, instead coming to a place where it feels more natural to stop, letting a final burst of flame flicker away into nothing. He turns to face his observer and bows formally, then straightens up, smiles and waves.]
5.30PM - Laundromatgrand_lotusMay 13 2010, 14:22:54 UTC
[Yeah, he's been doing his laundry by hand up to now but it's not escaped his notice that there are large machines that seem to serve the same purpose. Iroh is investigating, and by 'investigating' I mean 'puzzling helplessly'. He comes from a world that predates electrical motors. Oh god someone help him please.]
[Iroh beams.] Ah - almost certainly! [He makes a expansive gesture at the washing machines.] I believe that these machines are for washing clothes? We do not have anything like them, where I have come from.
Yes. We only started bringing them in during my adulthood. It's fairly simple.
You put your clothing into the drum, close it, ensure the washing liquid, just around a capful, is in the drawer here and place it in a quick wash for durable items such as cotton or man-made fibres, or a wool wash for wool or other more delicate fabrics.
[Since offering to help Mozenrath while his arm is recovering, Iroh's visits are spent as much behind the bar as in front of it. Tonight he's just sitting on a bar stool and drinking tea, inattentively leafing through a book from the library.]

I do believe so, yes. [Iroh lifts the cover to show Hix the title - Voodoo In Haiti.] I am - trying to understand my Inmate a little better. Our worlds are different in many ways.
