Facilier knew that look very well - it was a look he'd seen in various forms of severity through most of his life, even in New Orleans where men and women of color massed in greater numbers, and mixed more freely, than most places in the South. He'd eventually set about bringing that look onto himself, through false promises and dubious contracts, since he knew he'd earn that disdain in either case. But he'd gotten sloppy, comfortable. He'd thought it wouldn't happen here. That this place, for all its faults, might at least...

He wasn't graduating from anything. And if he was stuck here for eternity, then he was going to send a message about certain things that were off limits for good.

"Now don't be like that, Mr. Booth, I'm just bein' friendly." Facilier put on the smile he wore for tourists, amiable but just a little too wide, turning sharp and predatory for a split second to addle a mark's instincts. "In fact, we got off to such a poor start, I thought we might want to patch things up properly."

There were one of two ways this could have gone, Facilier had pondered when planning tonight. There could have been a subtler, more careful bit of violence in Booth's room, giving the vainglorious bastard a chance to talk about himself and then cruelly taking it away from him. Or there could be this - a demonstration of why, much like Booth, Facilier was not going to be ignored. Either one had their benefits.

Shadow knew what to do. With Booth's back turned he slipped away from Facilier, skulking towards Booth's own shadow with a wicked grin as Facilier boomed, "I wouldn't walk away from me if I were you."

Iroh had been deep in the woods of the Enclosure when his Item alerted him to the danger at hand, and he knew immediately that by the time he got to his Inmate it would be too late to prevent whatever he was doing. With that dark thought in mind, he hurried out of the sunlight.

He was proven right as soon as he found the body. He knew the man from observation - knew that he and Facilier had exchanged words, threats. And he had left the knife behind.

It was the work of a few minutes to gather up the man's bloodied body, take it carefully to the Infirmary and write to the Admiral. After that, there was the matter of the killer to see to, and finding his Inmate did not take long.

"Doctor Facilier."

[OOC: Uhhh obviously I've skimped a little on where they actually are at this point, feel free to fill that in lol >.>]

It was almost longer for someone to respond than he'd expected - though, granted, he hadn't thought of the time it would take for the body to be collected in a respectful fashion. Hair still wet from a quick shower, he answered the door to his room and exhaled slowly when he saw his Warden standing there. Of course.

"Evening." He wasn't about to volunteer his guilt, of course, though he figured it wasn't much of a question. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

[OOC: Improvising is totally ok by me. XD]

Iroh glanced down at the splotches of blood on his own robes then met Facilier's eyes levelly.

"I think that should be obvious. May I come in?"

Facilier was a schemer at heart, and so he'd rehearsed quite a bit of this in his head, over and over. He was surprised to find his heartbeat quickening anyway, though he kept his face cool as he shrugged and indicated for Iroh to come inside.

The room was smaller than, though a great deal like, his Emporium - elaborate purple drapery, the light of many candles, a large and well-worn table spread out in the back. A curtain in the back hid a modest cot from view. He indicated a chair for Iroh, a deliberate glitter in his eyes giving an edge to the gesture. "May I offer you a drink?"
