HEY HARVEY. c: psychosnowflake April 16 2010, 03:59:27 UTC
Tyler kind of swaggered into view; the goons hung back, out of sight and awaiting orders. The brief conversation he'd had with Swing before they'd captured him had given Tyler the very interesting piece of information that there was someone onboard the ship who looked just like him. That would almost certainly buy him some time, if the same lie would work twice. He could do some recon, get close to the guy, then attack when he wasn't paying attention. Plus, he just liked fucking with people.

Seeing the gun, he raised his hands in a 'whoa, don't shoot' pose, and kept on moving closer.

Inwardly, Tyler grinned. The same lie had worked; this guy thought he was that Jack guy. Outwardly, he affected a look of slightly nervous confusion. He moved closer, hands still up. Whoa, the guy's face was pretty messed up... but Tyler had seen worse - mutants and the injuries he and his boys had inflicted - so he didn't let it show.

"Man, there's guys coming here from the Master... a lot of them," he said, waving a hand away from where his boys were hiding. He decided not to address the man's actual question, instead forging ahead. He could gauge the reaction. "Your gun's useful and all, but I really hope we've got some more shit than that to throw at them."

[Assume Misato was basically a HBIC and helped lead a tactical offense that was awesome and... Amazing and hearts and flowers and bombs and shit, because I'm having a horrible week and basically can't brain for anything awesome right now.

She would've mostly been giving orders to those willing to take them and, at one point, probably shot some random NPC goons and kicked Cole in the head (permission given), so she was basically really awesome... And also Cole stabbed her for the aforementioned head-kicking, so she'll be bleeding and in the infirmary and probably still trying to give orders after this.]

The event that Bob was waiting for, if not looking forward to, had arrived. Once Misato had given him permission to hold a gun, he'd found a rifle and a revolver. He'd also unearthed a knife which along with the other weapons, he intended to return once this business was complete.

Using his well-honed survival skills, Bob managed to keep a low profile behind some cover he'd constructed. He readied his rifle and waited for his adversaries to arrive.

This was gonna be seriously fucking awesome.

That was Minister Mahoney's general opinion of what she assumed would be the bloodbath to come. Gun in hand, she tiptoed into the kitchen, keeping as quiet as possible and looking around for potential victims targets.

With/Without soup? Any flavours? bob_fraser_snr April 16 2010, 23:57:09 UTC
Unfortunately, given the state of the kitchen, that was not easy to do. Bob stood up and out of his cover, his weapon pointing at the intruder. "Miss? May I suggest you put down the weapon?" he asked, politely, calculating the angle needed to trigger a nearby trap. He had no intention of hurting, at least not permanently.

"May I suggest you shut the hell up and assume the position? 'Cause you're about to get fucked over hardcore."

She was grinning maniacally as she took aim, and trained her gun on his face. Punching through the face provided the best splashes, after all. Her finger shifted from lying alongside the trigger to curling around it.

Neville had been in his room for a while. Mentally, he was preparing himself to leave the relative safety of the Barge. Did his inmate, McCullen, really believe Neville would leave him to his own wits and just trust he'd return to the Barge?

He would have felt much more confidant had his wand been working, but he had brought back several fist sized rocks from his foray for plants. He'd also spotted a rather substantial piece of wood he could use as a club.

He exited his cabin, rocks in his pocket, club in hand with the intention of entering the City. He wouldn't make it that far.

Costigan was simply walking down the stairs from the deck when he caught sight of one of the Barge's occupants looking rather uncomfortable. Though he had several goons with him, he muttered something and they nodded and began to continue down the stairs, leaving their leader alone with the stranger.

Confident in his fighting ability and the 9mm tucked into the small of his back, Costigan offered him a smile. "It would be a lot easier on both of us if you just surrendered now."

Neville frowned at the other man. "This wouldn't even be a fair fight if my wand was working," he replied. He didn't appear willing to surrender.

Don't have to! Obviously I still joined. :] lost_undercover April 17 2010, 06:41:03 UTC
Costigan had no idea what he meant by a wand and didn't much care to ask. As far as he was concerned, this would be a quick hit and he could move on. The man continued forward toward the warden, unknowing that they had any previous connection at all. He was just a target now. "Come on. If you surrender, you'll just end up in jail. If you fight? Well, boss can't blame me if my hand fucking slips on the trigger."

Akio was now armed, with his warden's sword, and he assumed her implied permission to use it. Her note had included the key to her cabin. And he knew how to use it. Yes, the invaders might have firearms, but Akio was more pleased with a familiar weapon in his hands. If anyone had gotten to this level he'd find them, but he was moving to where he knew the real fighting would be, a scary avidity in his normally bored green eyes.

[Akio getting the sword was worked out in advance, so not taking liberties here. I couldn't get him out earlier in the week, so he'll just help defend the Barge. It's his home, too, for what that's worth. He'd like to get to the entrance, but I didn't want to invade that thread since it wasn't marked explicitly open like others.]
