Who: Sam Tyler, Una Persson, O'Brien, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner. What: As with Group 1, venturing out and looking for people. At some point, O'Brien is going to scarper and Una's running off after him. Sorry, guys. Um, good luck

[The "guns" comment, predictable as it was, earned little more than an eyeroll.]
Well, we do look suitably shabby. [She'd worn her most weatherbeaten fatigues for the purpose.] Should we split into two groups, perhaps? Two and three? Then agree to meet at a specified time. We should probably start by investigating any place where people are likely to gather-bars and so on.
[Ned was dressed entirely inappropriately for the trek, in his usual dark slacks, white button down, black tie, and black suit jacket - the jacket had been thrown over his shoulder, the tie loosened, and the collar and cuffs of the shirt undone, but it was still not the best outfitting for the wasteland he had found himself in with the others.
At Una's comment, he looked down at himself. One hand gravitated towards the back of his head in a display of self-consciousness, and he slouched down further, as if trying to make himself invisible.]
We should probably, too, we should probably try to find out if any of our people have gotten grabbed up yet. There's no telling what h-he might do to them, given... well, the circumstances.
[Una bent down and picked up a flyer blowing by her feet.] Oh look. They're on to us. [This said very, very dryly. The paper was a bit of official propaganda warning the citizenry to be on the lookout for Barge residents, apprehend them on sight, et cetera.]
Quick note, as I won't be able to go into this until after work (SO JUST SKIP SAM AND ASSUME HE'S BEING SAM FOR NOW), but I think Ned's going with them, too.
Cool. General question for all involved, as I don't know what else y'all have planned: would it be okay if Kim and I did a separate thread for O'Brien running off, Una trying to catch him, and then her getting bagged herself? Jsut to move that thread along.
[Una had gotten distracted by the police presence, which she kept an eye on while still moving; no point in stopping and looking suspicious. She'd gone a few yards before she realised that she'd lost sight of O'Brien. She stopped, pretending to look in a shop window, and searched the reflection for him.]
[Nothing. Shit.. And to make matters worse, it looked like she'd lost sight of the others as well. But at least they were still together; O'Brien on his own, on the other hand ... She began retracing her steps, looking carefully for her inmate as she went.]
[For someone who had been in as many wars as she had, Una was really not a fantastic urban tracker. Her attempts to find O'Brien were entirely fruitless, and she was beginning to wonder whether she ought to simply give up and try and find Sam, Bruce, and Tony instead.]
[That was when she saw the policeman. He was clearly scanning the streets and she tried to duck her head and lose herself amid the passersby, but then she looked up in a nearby window and saw him reflected there ... clearly closing in on her.]
Oh, sod you, O'Brien.
[She tried to lose the policeman, but he was gaining ground quickly, and she didn't dare risk pulling her gun on him in the open street. She ducked down an alleyway and found herself face-to-face with another cop. And from the look on his face, it was clear that she was exactly the person he was looking for. She managed a very, very sickly smile.]
Hello, sunshine.
[She aimed a hard punch at his face, but he blocked her easily, and then something struck the back of her head hard, and that was it.]
"And exactly uh, what are you planning on doing once you get to said cloud of pollution?" Bruce asked, sarcasm oh so obvious. "Assuming it actually is a city, there are probably people guarding it. So what? Throw one of your water coolers at them? Oh, yeah. Great plan."
Tony laughed at that. He couldn't help it; Bruce Banner was still being an incredible bitch, and his contribution to that was something to be proud of. He often solicited adverse reactions out of Bruce because, well, it kept Bruce's attention on Tony, even if it was negative. He needed Bruce Banner per Nick Fury's orders, and Tony couldn't really figure out how to keep him around unless he was being incorrigible.

"Heck if I know. I was busy working on the PA system before I got dragged off into this. This isn't exactly my field of expertise."

"I'm going to go with 'head toward the foreboding cloud of pollution in the distance'. Can't have that much pollution without a city."
