Veronica reached into her purse and pulled out one of the pamphlets that the Admiral had provided her with back on the Barge. She waved it in her inmate's face before opening it and pretending like she was perusing it for something to do. Honestly, she didn't give a crap what they did. Maybe a couple of roller coasters and they could eat something fattening and get a decent sunburn and call it a day.

Then she'd be okay with Lauren hating Disneyworld. Because it was super wrong to hate things without experiencing them first.

"But since I'm such a nice warden, I'll let you pick what you wanna do first. Food or rides?"

Lauren maintained hardly any expression at all at Veronica's display, personally not interesting in bickering over the small things. Starting a fight at the very beginning of this trip wouldn't be a grand idea, and surprisingly, she'd rather try and relax today ( ... )

Veronica sort of knew how to fire a gun. Her dad had one and she'd insisted that he at least show her how to use it, even if the safety had been on the entire time. So she'd held one and looked it over and then she decided that she preferred her taser. It just had a more personal touch to things and really, using a gun scared her. It scared her that Logan had access to one back home. Her dad she trusted with it, not so much her tortured love interest.

So she could probably aim and use a fake one but still. This was the kind of crap that Lauren used on a daily basis. Of course she was going to win at this game.

"This is hardly fair," Veronica said, coming up beside her inmate and reaching for one of the fake guns anyway.

"They don't have any contests to ruin people's lives. And I'm so much better at that then playing with guns. That's bad for you, you know. Somewhere, a child's life is being ruined right now."

Veronica really didn't need to feel so nervous - these plastic replicas were hardly the usual weaponry Lauren used daily! It was a sad excuse for a gun, and didn't even have the normal loading or cocking mechanisms. All you really had to do was pull the plastic trigger, which, in her opinion, was a lot more simple than the usual guns she dealt with.

"I believe your words were 'I'll let you decide'," she offered with a smug sort of smile as her oh-so-nice warden walked over. Lauren was pleased she agreed to join her, though, as a game was not nearly as fun without some added competition. There was one other teenager a few spots down from them, but Lauren passed her off as any competition at all.

"If it's any consolation," she muttered, one eye closing as she lined up her shot, holding the gun out in front of her. "You've been ruining mine since the day we were assigned together."

At the whistle, the game started and Lauren took her first shot at the row of targets a few feet in front of her, aiming to hit every single one.
