I agree about Ouran. I was a bit wary of it, because I'm a huge fan of the manga and anime, but the live action was good. It really was just like the anime, which it fine by me.

BOSS TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO

ugh adding kimoto back into the mix made the damn show for me, tbh. i have such ~feelings about the osawa/kimoto relationship and just. eeeeeeee kimoto♥

on the whole, it's still not as good as the first one, but still a really fun watch. which is really all i ask!

Definitely- the show just didn't feel the same without her :/
Yea, the fun and hilarity of the members kept me watching :)

yep ;____; i just feel like the entire group is stronger with that backbone of the osawa-kimoto relationship.

I'm really enjoying Hana Kimi too and I agree that if most people gave it a chance beyond the first ep they would like it too. I actually care a little more about Ashiya and Sano now, lol. The third episode was heaps fun because it was Namba-centric XD.

As for Ouran, I'm really surprised at how similar the first episode was to the anime. But it turned out pretty good :) Only thing that freaked me out the most was when they midget-ified Honey-sempai and CG'ed Chiba's head onto that kid's body XDXD

Yes, I think it's just going to get better :)
LOL, omg, now that you mention it, I'm creeped out by the CGI head-on-body thing xD

I think manga/anime to live action always weirds me out a little because manga and anime are highly idealized or warped (see: Utena, architecture) so coming down to reality changes the feel of the story. Then again, I'm probably just bitter that drama made all the really attractive people in Hana Kimi dorky instead. (Why, Oscar M. Himejima? Why??)

Yea, each time you change the medium, something different is added/deleted, and of course, if you loved the original piece, it is kind of weird.

lol, are you referring to Oscar from 2007 or 2011 version (if you are watching the latter at all)?
People have been telling me that the 2011 version is a much closer representation or more accurate characterization of the manga.

I think I just can't take japanese guys seriously and thus any supposed bishounen or manly guys seem like very different characters to me =_=

There's another one?? Man, the manga-ka must be making bank. @_@

From the trailer it does look more accurate, but most of my attention has been occupied by the fact that the guy from QED is Sano! xDDDDD That show was so terrible (so there is no reason I should have loved it as much as I did), but I guess all Hanazawa Rui did as Sano was sit and brood, so I guess he'll pull it off? xDxDD I am so entertained rn.

Ah gotcha.

Yep, lol.
Actually, 2011!Sano is much more involved than the previous one, and Nakamura Aoi is doing well acting his part. Perhaps you might enjoy it ;)

I admit, I didn't like BOSS 2 -- the beginning, I watched ep one then did a random watch. And yeah, I totally continued watching it after the Nodate x Eriko back story. Hehe. Twas so cute ^^
