Hrm.. There may be no "action" taken by teachers or cops for name calling and stuff, but you can bet that if she kills him, there will be action taken and WAY too much paperwork.
I wouldn't worry if it was a one time thing- it's the repeatative nonsense that makes it ridiculous- and the swearing- I would have been in serious trouble if I ever swore in front of a teacher in HS- let alone MS.
But the kid says that the class is loud and the teachers can't hear the swearing over the hubbub. And the kids are unwilling to "rat out" the offenders because they think they will be seen as whiny babies.
Until it devolves to the obvious or physical, it should be pretty ignorable and teachers/authorities are unlikely to get involved. Really. Most of us went through this crap in school. Kids can be horrible little beasts.
Ok, there's the statement that there has been physical stuff going on with other kids that didn't get reported- and fact that my niece ended up punching someone because he was being an idiot. The overall bothers me.
And just because it's crap we all went through it in HS- doesn't make it acceptable... the idea that there may be 6 more years of this disgusts me.
