What is Lost Odyssey like, anyway? I doubt I'll buy it any time soon, because it's for the 360 and that's still way out of my price range, but still...curious.
I'm not sure killing it with fire will work. Maybe ice. It is fire-elemental.
Lost Odyssey is about what you'd expect from a game made by the folks who used to make Final Fantasy. It has a really interesting if cracked-out premise for why you have a bunch of immortals running around; the localization is fantastic and the graphics are gorgeous. However, like many 360 games, it has a real problem on standard-def TV sets: you can't fricking read the text. I have a 20" TV and I sit probably 6-10 feet back from the screen (due to space limitations in my room), and I can't make out what I'm seeing about 70% of the time. Fortunately everything is voice-acted and the menus are intuitive enough that I can get by, but it's something to be aware of if you don't have access to a hi-def set. I've still been enjoying the game immensely, though, and I can't wait to play it on a shiny TV, which I should be getting in August.
Ugh. I do love RPGs with good localization; playing TWEWY (good) and Parasite Eve (bad) concurrently has made me really appreciate this. But I frickin' hate next-gen text.
If I ever do pick up a 360, I'll probably just invest in the VGA cable to go with it. Since HDTV is all a scam, of course. (jealous? me? never)

As you may have seen in photos, I am an incredibly pale Irish girl. More than twenty minutes in full sun without sunscreen equals sunburn. :(
