So I joined a couple fanfic communities the other day, and I'm now finding myself inspired to work on a metric tonne of writing, mostly fanfic but a little bit of inspiration for Wyrdborn.
I have been a fan of "Link" since I had it for my NES. I have not purchased a "Link" game since I had my SNES. I miss the simpler times like actually having time to waste. Or was it really developing my mind? Not sure.
Sort of. Jorin is probably coming by on Wednesday, and Godnix is coming in for a couple of days on Thursday afternoon. This doesn't mean we/I CAN'T see you, it just complicates things.
There's a hopeful, naive little boy inside me that hopes this catastrophe of a series called Xenosaga will basically 'redo' Xenogears as one of its episodes. I know it won't happen, but I can hope. Xenogears would have been truly awesomely kick ass if only I was evolved enough to understand the plot in it.
I agree; it is really really annoying. That goes into a rant I mean to post later - about the tendency in modern games to just ramp up the difficulty absurdly by making tasks horrifyingly nitpicky, rather than with creative puzzles or the need for unique strategies.
My biggest complaint with puzzles. Most seem to make you go back and fourth from three or more locations. I hate that. And it's hardly ever a short walk. Case in point Narnia. You have to fend off three areas. From wolves. Grrr, I just stopped playing after like my sixth attempt. I like a good puzzle. A difficult one at that. But damnit! Make it to where I don't have to walk around. I love RE:0's ability to switch between the characters at any point! Hmm, I should start playing that again. Damn kids earasing my memory card.
