Well this week has kind of sucked. Starting with overtime on Monday, progressing through a long series of bullshit with a complete asshole who feels that the plan should conform to him just because he has to pay child support, and a lot of really freaking senile old people, it has not been a good week

There's one in Niles(ish) that my friend Josh works at called Pastimes. It's at the intersection of Milwaukee and Golf. Not sure how squeamish it is, but might be worth a gander.

Savant and Sorceror disappointed me on a number of levels. They did what I considered unthematic things to Disguise of the New Face, provided no interesting new widgets or spells, and the manse and artifact rules don't fit with prior material. Also, yeah, soft core porn isn't exactly my thing in cover art. "Behold, as I smite thee with my Vagina of Galloping Crotch-Rot!"

Dang, if my last attempt at playing Mage didn't blow up in my face so badly (Point the first: Mage is not the introductory system for WoD. Point the second: Don't have the new guy play the wise Hermetic trying to teach the untrained (I forget, nature magic type) how all this magik stuff works), I'd be really really interested in exploring that world. Magic + Beaurocracy...mmmm... (this from a guy who loves playing L5R courtiers/Magistrates).
