Well this week has kind of sucked. Starting with overtime on Monday, progressing through a long series of bullshit with a complete asshole who feels that the plan should conform to him just because he has to pay child support, and a lot of really freaking senile old people, it has not been a good week.
And at 5 o'clock on Friday, I found out that they want all of us who work 8:30 to 5 to "volunteer" to work overtime 8 to 8:30 "as many days as you can" this month. *sigh* It makes sense, because one of the guys who's been here the longest got a new position in the company, and what with it being December everybody and their monkey's uncle is taking time off (myself included), so I figure I'll work overtime pretty much any day but Wednesday (and, of course, the 9th, 23rd, 24th, 27th, and 28th, which I have off.) I mean, it'll be super nice for my bank account, especially with Christmas coming up (I figure if I work overtime every day but the ones i have off and Wednesdays, I'll make 6 hours of overtime, which is pretty nice. It's like a whole extra day's pay, plus all my days off are paid.
Other than that, not much has happened. We finished off the first major story arc in my Demon game; I got an idea for a chronicle of Mage oneshots, pick-up style; and I'm working on my Alias-Mage game. I went to EB today and picked up Final Fantasy Origins: Dawn of Souls, because Squeenix owns my soul, naturally. We also hit Something Wicked, where I eyeballed a copy of Exalted: The Fair Folk but behaved myself. Then we ended up at Comix Revolution, where I gave up on trying to be good and snagged a copy of Savant and Sorcerer, complete with cover art that makes me feel dirty just for owning the book, as well as the Exalted Storyteller's Companion and Dragons of the East for Mage, just cause I could.
Let's see, what else have I done today? Fred and Laurel are coming over this evening for potential Mage one-shot fun, and I am making spaghetti which I haven't done since the summer. Inspired by
celeloriel, I've also been cleaning. My kitchen is shiny and damn near spotless (a true feat considering I'm making spaghetti sauce) and the common room at least looks moderately livable, so hurray.
Now I am off to update my Amazon wishlist. Buy me stuff! =p
(Just kidding.)
