My main issue with FF7 was that it's the exact same stuff from start to finish. It's like a long drawn out game of "Spot The Sephiroth". Really is there any part of that game where you are not following him around to just miss him.
At the beginning (and through a damn good majority) of FFVI, the story seemed to be the same as well (Help Terra and Fight for the Returners). I just couldn't get into that, especially anything involving Terra since it got so boring and repetitive (much like chasing Sephiroth all over the world). It only got worse later on when Celes joined the party (Celes = Emo with a side of angst pie).
By the end of the game, I wanted Shadow to tweak out when someone dropped a spoon in a diner then kill everyone . Usually, I'm really attached to characters by the end of an RPG but at the end of FFVI, Shadow, Sabin and Edgar were the only three people I didn't want to die a horrible death. I'd have included General Leo but he died.
And FFVI fanatics drive me up the wall like I was Spider-man.
In my professional opinion, I am a doctor after all, anyone who likes FF7 and is male has a really small penis and feels a really big sword is needed to compensate. Any females who like FF7 wish they had a really big penis.
It is in this same professional opinion that I recommend shooting yourself in the head.
