I don't know if it's just because I've worked in the service industry before, but I tip. And I tip well, especially when it's deserved. When it comes to restraurants, I almost always tip 25% and when it comes to the drinking kind of festivities, I exceed that. It really isn't, unfortunately most employers don't seem to understand that. Minimum wage here is just under $6 an hour and most waitresses and bartenders actually made around $2.50 an hour so they have to rely heavily on the tips they make throughout the day or night. On top of that, they have to claim their tips on their taxes until it at least reaches minimum wage, then everything else is bonus. I happen to be one of the luckier ones that gets paid hourly above minimum wage but it's still a slap in the face when you run your butt off for someone and they either don't tip you, or leave you a dime. (Which I've had that happen to me before.)
