The CotT had smaller attendance this year and both fights were completely very quickly so both are in one You Tube video. I'm in there wearing a mail shirt. A friend ran the camera.
Not your standard SCA blow conventionslarmerAugust 17 2011, 22:48:26 UTC
No we do not.
I have the explanation below in the information section of my video. Unfortunately with the lay out of You Tube many viewers do not open up the extended information block.
Here is what I wrote. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
"A medieval fighting recreation inspired by the Combat of the Thirty (1351 AD English vs. French) using modified SCA fighting rules. Three blows to the head were required to stun and then capture opponents for ransoms. Opponents could be killed by a thrust to vital areas not protected by armour. The rough nature of this fight is not typical of SCA armoured combat and does not represent fighters ignoring blows but as mentioned a modification to the rules. Ransoms are only given in the first fight (the true fight) and the second fight is just for extra fun. This event took place at the annual Pennsic War XXXX in August 2011. Please provide comments and ratings for feedback."
