Because it is happening. And will need its own masterpost, and I need to keep the bits and ideas somewhere. And because half of this is uniformly's fault. And because I need your fellow brilliant minds in coming up with all the schemes for modern day Gibson trying to get into modern day Runner's pants, okay ( Read more... )

I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH TAKING THE BLAME FOR ALL THIS.

And you have no idea how sad I was when I reached the end of what you had.

GOOD.The idea even made it's way into the main Chuckler/Runner story, so, yeah, it's pretty much around to stay ( ... )

I HAVE SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS, YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. Ray is so going to make ironic WWGD (What Would Gibson Do) pins/buttons/badges/stickers and plant them all over the city.

THIS IS AWESOME. WHY AM I NOT WATCHING THIS JOURNAL.

Also, those future adventure ajshdjsadjsa I wanted to c+p my favorite ones but by the time I got to Ray Person, I realized they were all fucking awesome. No. 3 made me snicker.

THANK YOU and probably b/c you don't want to get spamed with random ficlets of nonsense. ;)

Half the credit really does have to go to uniformly esp. with all things concerning Ray Person and hookers. That's all Nat.

I.

I have no one else to blame so.

I am in the middle of episode six AND IF RUNNER DIES, I AM GOING TO CRY, OKAY. BECAUSE HOOSIER JUST ....HOOOOSIER T___T

(re-reads all your fic ever and lives in a happy au land where everyone lives tra la la)

I could spoil you? I read Sledge's and Leckie's book before watching the mini-series, so I knew what was going to happen but, um, yeah. I am sorry to say that it just gets more and more rough and painful (OMG, episode 9, you will need tissues and someone to hug) from here on out, but that's more Team Sledge anyway, and, really, it makes you appreciate the hell the Vets went through. The best way I can sum up my feelings is that while BoB is about EASY CO! And BROTHERHOOD! And look at us fighting the Germans! The Pacific is about the PTO in its entirety, how war is hell, and how Eugene Sledge is kind of like Frodo Baggins.

*coughs* Look, there is a REASON why I decided to write a massive-au where everyone except John Julian lives. Tra la la indeed.

I just finished it and jesus this episode was like "down, up, down up, down down downdowndowndownohgod ....up' I maybe cried a little tear when Runner showed up and then a bigger one when he reminded me of Chuckler out there all alone. I don't think I want to be spoiled for it because then I'll just be dreading when it comes but thanks!

Yes, oh gosh yes to the feelings on both series. BoB had episodes that are painful to watch but you could because there is so much brotherhood and togetherness and it's meant to be about how we were just and good and (waves hands about) stuff. What you said. I cannot bring myself to watch more then two episodes of Pacific together because it is .....it is grim, grim war reality. It's so painful to watch ( ... )

The Pacific is def. painful to watch, which is why I get people don't omg-love it, but I appreciate it, b/c it doesn't pull any punches. It's brutal, but it's being honest to what happened in (part) of the PTO.

Ack-Ack and Hillbilly are a pretty tight-nit team. And yes, when it comes to Snafu, basically, fandom never goes off the mark, b/c he really is a creepy stalker who does not understand personal space.

His theory that Runner and Chuckler are just pretending to be in a relationship as part of a deep cover to show how damaging DADT can be to a Marine's personal life and psyche.

“Person told me Gibson thinks I’m just participating in a deep cover to prove how unconstitutional the DADT policies are.”

Poke raised a brow. “Are you fucking serious?”

“Gibson seems to believe that if Lew truly loved me, he’d leave the Corps and we’d moved to Massachusetts and raise some adopted babies. Or something.”

“Christ,” Poke cursed. “You know the world’s fucked up when your time in the Corps made more sense.”

Runner just nodded. “Lew thinks it’s funny as hell.”

YES, I TOTALLY GOT MORE OF THIS =D

It's going to be hella fun to write out that whole side fic. And all of Gibson's little adventures, b/c once you get Ray-Ray and Brad invovled, vaguely illegal things have to happen.
