Hmm...I'm planning on seeing the movie but I'm one of the few people who has a problem with the book. It's a really fun pageturner and all, but it doesn't deserve the hype that everyone is giving it. People are acting like it's the new great American novel. No. Dan Brown is a crappy writer; he just can write a fun story. It bugs the hell out of me when people say "Davinci Code is my favorite book!" I want to smack them on the head and hand them a list of actual literature. x_x

...And Tom Hanks' hair creeps me out a bit.

I agree with you about his writing, it's average at best. But the story is great and you know he had to put a lot of research into something based so much on actual history.
