Mitzi is slowly improving... she started barking at my mother again. Mitz has a problem with anyone approaching me if she thinks I don't know (like when I'm sleeping or at the computer with my back to the room). She'll bark hysterically to warn me, then approach Mom with a toy, hoping to distract her from harming me. :-D It's instinct that she' ( Read more... )

I'd be willing to look the story over if you like. So long as you're not on a super tight deadline and need it back tonight. :)

I'd offer, but I just recieved my pitch hitter assignment for the exchange, so I think that means I can't... although, I could be wrong, and if that is the case, and you want me to, I'm all yours.

I tell you, I'll be one happy, fucking camper come 2008 cause Bush can't run again (and I hope to high hell that Jeb doesn't get an itch in his shorts to run too -- there is only so much Bush a girl can take!).

I chose 'phone her' because the one about 'tell her privately' didn't really include letting her talk about it and finding her side before you 'tell her' why you think she is wrong ~ sometimes the view of what one friend is doing to another doesn't include all the information. If you had a 'meet with her privately' option, I would have picked that if she is close enough to take to lunch or coffee. I would not email her because paper trails can be used out of context and get sooo ugly and the options about being mean back or in public really don't do anything good.
I think analogies do explain things, but sometimes people don't understand the analogy and it doesn't help. Particularly if the person who doesn't understand the analogy is the one using it.

I do believe some people are now viewing adopting a foreign born child as the latest fashion accessory for positive PR purposes. Yup...I think you are right on this one, my dear larilee...I can point to domestic born children who need a parent just as much as the foreign born children do...but that wouldn't garner the international publicity as much so it just doesn't matter...

and I'd be willing to look your story over for you, if you still need someone. I've actually got a bit of free time this weekend, between sleeping late, taking a nap, and going to bed early Saturday night. :-) Just lemme know if you'd like me to.
