That first pic is pretty. I don't think people realize how vast and grand the Great Lakes are.
What are these ice caves of which you speak? My husband was planning to go ice fishing on Erie today but his buddy bailed so instead he's cleaning the garage (boo for him, yay for me!).

There are some sea caves (actually I don't know why we call them sea caves, it's not the ocean!) on some of the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior, and when the lake freezes and the ice is thick enough, you can walk out to some of them, even walk inside them. I've lived here a few years and never gone, so it's typical that the year I decide I am going for sure, it's been unseasonably warm and the ice isn't thick enough yet!
:D That does work out better for you! Does your husband ice fish a lot? I love to fish but I've actually only been ice fishing a few times.

My husband has only been ice fishing, oh, maybe 10 times. I think he just goes 'cuz he's jonesin' to fish in the dead of winter (and after Ohio's Whitetail bow season has ended). Come Springtime, he's on one body of water or another every chance he gets. He's insanely outdoorsy (:o)
