Sorry for the long absence! Work, real life, etc etc (at least this means more recs for y'all?). I currently have about 15 mosquito bites and 3-4 welts/bruises, courtesy of my first foray into organized pseudo-violence paintball this past weekend. :) The battle wounds were well worth it; I had so much fun ( Read more... )

Under-utilizing Jason Clarke in your film should be a CRIME, for real. (I might be slightly biased, however.)

We can be biased together, since Chicago Code totally converted me to the Jason Clarke train. :) He rocked the scenes he was in, but it was really...I dunno if it was on purpose, but I felt like everything meant to convey brotherly togetherness were really disjointed, kind of awkward. Have you seen it yet?

How is it that I haven't poked & prodded you into watching Brotherhood yet???? It's the Showtime show Jason Clarke did with Jason Isaacs where they play brothers (Clarke is a politician & Isaacs is a small-time gangster) and it is BRILLIANT. Some of the best writing & acting on a show in the last 10 years, no lie.

It's only three seasons & they're short seasons, too, so well worth your time.

And no, I haven't seen the film yet. I'm woefully behind. I still need to see Premium Rush and The Master, too. I should get on that.

Ooh! I just looked it up on Amazon and it sounds amazing, very grey? I'm going to try to snag a cheap copy from the used section. Thanks for the rec!!

I haven't seen Premium Rush yet. I might have to wait, since there are a ton of books I want to buy in the next month. XD I'm very behind on my TV-viewing. :p

For Try, Try again yes - I think I've done a dump of stuff I wrote in LJ that you haven't seen yet and it's nearly done. I also went through and resolved all your notes. I'm going to be working on getting both done over the weekend though so it's totally fine if you want to wait till then. :D
