1) Anyone else planning on watching Pirates? I'm one of those odd people who enjoyed Pirates 2 and 3. Can't wait to see Captain Jack Sparrow in a new adventure. :D (I was always really disappointed that they never brought Zoe Saldana's character back tho boo)

I was feeling ambivalent about PotC 4, but I've learned that apparently the book it's based off of (On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers) is apparently awesome, so if they adapt it right, it could be really, really good. I'm at least a lot more interested in checking out the movie now!

Oh cool! I had no idea there was a book. IDK, I just feel this thrill every time I see a commercial/trailer, it's like residual excitement from the experience of watching the first film that has continued to last.

I'm seeing the new Pirates movie at midnight tonight! I'm trying to keep expectations low... honestly, it doesn't take much to please me, and I love Jack Sparrow. Should be fun!

I enjoyed it! Jack was great and there were some great moments. It wasn't the *greatest movie ever* but I still had a lot of fun.

I want to rec your story ALL OVER THE PLACE! It's so good!! Normally I can never tell who an anon author is, but this was the first time I read something and thought, heyyy I'm pretty sure this is Nancy. It was really thrilling for me when you de-anoned. XD Not that..that was...the point...but..errr...I loved the story. :D

It's that Europe trip I mentioned a few weeks ago. Everyone has been giving me such lovely suggestions for places to visit and food to try. I can't wait!

EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO ME LARIA if they were always set on making a fourth pirates movie, then why would they make the ending of the third one loop around with the first movie?? What is that??! It's like they GAVE THE TRILOGY A CYCLICAL FEELING AND THEN DECIDED TO TACK ON ANOTHER MOVIE so if they wanted to milk the cash cow, which, that's the way it goes, probably that can't be helped, but then WHY DID THEY FEEL THAT IT WAS APPROPRIATE TO WRAP IT UP BEFOREHAND??!?!?!!?!!

AND WILL JOHNNY DEPP EVER MAKE MOVIES AGAIN THAT HIS CHILDREN CAN'T WATCH

THERE IS NO EXPLANATION, IFRIT! PIRATES, LIKE NINJAS, DEFY LOGIC. Who can say why movie studios make dumb decisions? Who decided to greenlight the crappy scripts for movies like the third Mummy movie or the Forbidden Kingdom or the Expendables? WHO DECIDED THAT THOSE STORIES WERE ACCEPTABLE AND COHERENT AND SET THEM LOOSE ON AN UNSUSPECTING PUBLIC? THE SAME FOLKS WHO TURNED A "TRILOGY" INTO A TRILOGY + A CAPTAIN JACK SOLO ADVENTURE, OBV.

I AM WEAK, I WILL CONTINUE TO FEED THEIR DAMN COW JUST SO I CAN WATCH CAPTAIN JACK ON MY SCREEN. ;_;

You're not alone in liking Pirates 2 and 3! They were entirely too long, but I loved where they went with the characters (Most of them. Not Norrington. Poor guy died for absolutely no reason.). I especially can never get over the scene in the beginning of P3 where Elizabeth has to get rid of her guns and removes an entire arsenal. Over time, she turned into a complete psycho and that was awesome.

YAY MORE RECS. ♥ Okay, I reeeeally do not need another a fandom--*glares at Inception for having eaten literally all of me*--but that TSN/Dr Who crossover just sounds so amazing.

YES, there are two of us! *hugs* There were lots of ridiculous elements but I loved so many of the ideas, pirate kings, sea magic, lots and lots of fighting. XD The gun arsenal scene! That was my FAVORITE. Man, I should really rewatch the others in preparation. FOR SCIENCE!

I can't pick up another fandom either haha. Inception completely owns my soul heart. I just lurk and read TSN (and occasionally Sherlock) fic. :) There will probably always be recs, I don't think I can help myself. Oh man! You should absolutely read the TSN/Dr Who crossover! I'm not exaggerating, I really think it's one of the best things I've ever read. I love it so much!
