Okay, I'm getting things somewhat back together and it's time to address the issues of this character. Join me for tonight's special program, What The Hell Happened Here?Answer: various things! Some way more than others, but I will include even the stupid small ones

3. I run into this problem a lot, actually, especially with characters like Sanji and Kuno. So far I've handled it two ways. I've found other characters/players who don't mind being spontaneous with physical abuse, or I've found reasons to interrupt the physical abuse, so as to not deal it onto the characters.

5. Doesn't Disgaea technically count as part of your canon? (I seem to recall Prier being recruitable..?) It's all Nippon Ichi anyway. And you don't need to defend your canon, just present it at face value.

6. Not playing DOES make it harder to come back, but most players would rather have you come back without an explanation than to wait even longer until you can think of one. If you need a generic excuse, say she was stolen for a cameo or something.

...but all said, if you just don't feel like playing her any longer? Just drop her, as painful as it is.

3. The trials of being from slapstick! There too, I'm sure me loosening up would go a long way. I am intrigued by your strategy of having the abuse interrupted; can you give any examples of how this works?

5. Well, sort of. Kind of. I could really essay on this, but the short version is: I don't think it's either necessary or the best idea to play a Prier who would recognize the Disgaea people, though they may well recognize her. But yeah, you are right about the actual point.

6. Heh heh, cameos. People would have to be really spiteful or really oblivious to outright demand elaborate IC explanations from me. It's always such an awkward social situation, though!

Anyway, it's not quite that dropping is off the table, but... I can't really say that I don't feel like playing her any longer unless I've actually played her longer in the first place, y'know? There was a reason for this app, way back when, and circumstances are most of what killed it, as far as I know. I don't think there's any good reason not to still try, although there

Hm, an example? Well lets use Sanji as an example. Lets say he's about to get angry at someone, and this character is someone who really..wouldn't deal with physical attacks well. Of course being a slapstick attack which happens in his canon all the time, Sanji wouldn't stop just because of that. SO. If I can get, say, Nami, or really, any girl to distract him and calm him down I will.

Using Kuno as an example, I believe I've actually done this once before, I've had Kuno charge at someone and slip on a banana peel continuing into some hilariously elaborate way of taking him from the scene.

Obviously it's not always the answer, but if it just isn't avoidable and feel like you're still IC, just take it out of the character's control by bringing in outside forces.

And yeah, I'd suggest finding a time you can post, and just THREAD with people, and if you aren't enjoying yourself, that should be a good indication. It's all for fun anyway right?

I can't really help with the Prier issues, and I agree wholeheartedly that having neutral icons helps. A lot. Sadly, I have no art to help you with.

As for Viki, we'd all love to have her back. The Suikocast keeps missing one another, so there is no real need to make up a reason for her absence.

Well I'm not sure if I can speak for the whole cave, but Prier lives in the Mafia Cave, right? We kind of engage in war with our neighbors, the A-T kids, and comedic violence runs abound. Gokudera's tossing bombs up, they're tossing teammates down, etc. I can't really speak for everyone, but for the most part I think the A-T kids and the mafia are all pretty sturdy, so they're abusable candidates (feel free to abuse Dino anytime :|b).

I'm not sure if what I said made sense because I'm kinda out of it but feel free to join in retarded mafia cave related incidents and abuse your cavemates? (AGAIN check with Gokudera and Tsuna first |D)

Oh, that's likely to be helpful! I, even OOC, don't know much about the cave or its inhabitants, which always makes me a little more anxious about messing with 'em. But I suppose it may be best to let my character lead the way then, eh?

3. Oh God, I ran into this problem for the first few months while playing Mugen and considered dropping him about four times because I felt so OOC. One of the things I try to tell myself is that if I was really getting on someone's nerves, surely they would tell me. What I've been doing lately is throwing him at people like the shounen retards (Ikki and Sanosuke for example) whom I feel don't mind spontaneous violence. Or if you can finagle it, boss battles? I know it's not quite the same, but at least with cuebattlemusic you don't have to hold back.
