ugh, tell me about it. he has in the past voted for or against things without knowing what they are and entail, and indeed seems to be keen on repeating that in the future. the only thing he seems to care about is telling the people exactly what they want to hear so that they'll vote for him, and it's RIDICULOUS.

ohmygod when I saw the opening of your post I laughed out loud because I was literally screaming about the same thing earlier in the night. I was like "Does McCain know how to talk about anything other than his fucking military career? Why won't someone just hit him with a fucking shovel already?"

One of the Big Examples that comes to mind is Ulysses S. Grant. He was regarded as one of the greatest soldiers and generals in American history, and then was regarded as one of the most useless and stagnant presidents we'd ever had. military experience and success =/= being able to run a country well.

As far as Sarah Palin is concerned... don't even get me fucking started. She's the female version of Evil Incarnate. If she and Dick Cheney ever had a child together, I believe it would truly be the antichrist and the entire world would be immediately shrouded in a heavy curtain of darkness. I haven't held this high level of disgust for a politician in a long time, but goddamn she's won me over.

That's a really good point too! Which is why I was often iffy back with the "hilary has more experience than obama" thing was brought up way back when. There are MANY examples that could be used against that, but when I met people who supported hilary they were hardcore alllll about here. People can, in short, be naturally born awesome and become more awesome in time. They can work hard and know wtf they doing and only get better.

I haven't held this high a level of disgust in a vice president candidate in a long time. Palin needs to get her ass back to alaska and get back in the kitchen and that is the only time I'll ever say that about a woman.
