Thanks! If you know about Arabian bloodlines he is by a Bey Shah son and out of a Fire Chief and goes back to Bask a couple times and Aladdinn once. He has a big personality and was exactly what I needed as a horse-crazed young adult and still fills a fantasric niche in my life.
My mom had a gorgeous Spanish Arab... he was Bey BarNiko.. named after his lineage. A friend had given my mom the horse after paying an ASTRONOMICAL stud fee to breed the horse, but then her business collapsed and she couldn't handle the foal and gave it to mom... he was absolutely the most gorgeous horse I've ever seen. A deepcolored bay with a thin white starred blaze and one white sock, super deep nose dish, high tail, and pointy pointy ears. I only saw his lineage once... I wish I could remember.
I only tried riding him a couple times. The horse didn't touch the GROUND. It was like riding a teleportation device! Crazy fast, insanely smooth movement.
I rode a fat little polish Arab who was only 14 hands high. She was a lazy lady... had all the Arab personality quirks, including spending way too much time trying to trick people in order to amuse herself, but she had that nice 3/4th gait (a fast pickup walk? We were western riders, sorry!) which was fun.
Kash has a nice trot and a lovely, round canter and, yes, the ability to teleport! He is also smarter than half the people who try to ride him, but his trickster side has mellowed with age just a little!
I love the tiny, pricked ears that threaten to touch each other, but never quite do!
This is so cool! I always liked hearing stories about Kash and I hope that with your working student and the kids getting more self-reliant that you'll have more time to spend with him - and you'll talk about it on LJ, he reminds me so much of Darcy.

I hope I get to spend more time enjoying him myself too. Baby horses and baby people have taken precedence the last couple years!
