I just recently spend a night showing Sailor horsey-sports videos... We started with horse vaulting, moved to dressage, trick-riding, barrel-racing, the steeple-chase and ending on show-jumping.

I think think horse vaulting (especially team vaulting) is EASY proof that humans... are insane. I mean... that is an insane thing to make up... and turn into a wildly competitive sport. Horse vaulting makes ice dancing look like a normal thing to do....

Vaulting is pretty strange, but what a rush! One of my clients has her primary focus as vaulting (she is building a team/club) and I went to a clinic for it last year with the boys, I think you saw some of it. Anyway, I definitely agree it is one of the strangest things people do with horses.

I remember that from last year.... and you were doing GREAT! No surprise you've got the muscles for those quick belly-on swing-mounts!

I think it is possible that horse vaulting might be the quintessential rich-white-person thing to do with a horse. No just race them... not just make them dance... but make them slow-canter at a steady-pace and then perform dance/gymnastics on their back at the same time while everyone rhythmically grinds along with the gait of the horse.

Humans are seriously curious animals who will do ANYTHING... if it CAN be done.
