A blast from the past for all of your amusement, resurrecting a project I did for an Intermedia Art class in November 2008. This class about fried my little Art Education: Drawing concentrarion brain. I didn't realize that Intermedia meant audio, visual, video, and performance art. To be honest, the class initially said "Mixed Media" and they changed the title after I enrolled.
I had assumed it was mixing various traditional media, oh how wrong I was!

I had my three volunteer judges, one of which was dean of the ASU Fine Arts program. I was so nervous I overshot most of my movements and add in extra circles to stay with the music.

I figured we all need a laugh right now, enjoy!

I wrote about the day of here.

This project made me all types of uncomfortable. I had to get permission to set this up and reserve the time slot for it from both the grounds administrative people and the head of the Herberger College of Fine Arts. I am a lot better now, but I was NOT very keen on putting myself out there nearly 12 years ago!

The teacher of the class was a little worried about me at the start and a couple other students in the class dropped out of it within the first month. I stuck it out, though and dove in, obviously! My instructor was quite pleased with my willingness to have at it. This us the class that taught (self taught) how to do audio and video editing.

We are experiencing a lot of smoke blowing down from California, Colorado, and some from our own state. Looking at the maps just about a third of the West half of the country is on fire.

I started getting a headache while driving Pebbles this morning and I think it was the smoke. I wore a mask the rest of the day and that seemed to mitigate it, but being outside for almost eight hours has given me a low grade one just the same.

I had four more kids join the AFE classes, that makes 19 kids for the semester, holy cow.
