Chroi is home with her people and Hana has gotten in four or five drives now, plus a ride. Hana is very pleased with where her mare is at and I can pat myself on the back for a job well done. She had her little hiccups, but she came through it beautifully. I was at the point where I could be picky about how she was moving and start improving her

Driving is so cool! I know a lot of people around here who want to drive but it just isn't that common and I know of nobody who teaches it.

It certainly look like you'd stay cooler driving than riding.

I love the way Chroi's name is pronounced. I wouldn't have guessed it sounds like "Kree" I would've guessed it rhymed with "joy" like "K-roy".

Chroi says only loser ponies halt.

That seems to be the story in most places! The American Driving Society website had links to various clubs throughout the country.

The more I've done it the more I realize that it's a lot more common than first glance, but it can be difficult to connect because there are no real "driving barns" or at least they are few and far between! I'd love to see it more "out there" and available to people as I think it is a great way to work with and enjoy horses.

It is! I have one client who wears a sundress in the summer when she drives and I don't insist on long pants like I would for riding (not as far down, no chafing from the equipment).

Her full name is Chroicoragh, which is Gaelic or Celtic. I'm actually surprised I never flubbed her name verbally as I pronounced it "Kroy" in my head to spell it right!

Haha! Too much to do and see! If she can't go forward she'll spin! And they are lovely spins actually!

Who knows when that will happen considering should I die a sudden accidental death Travis' adoptive mother will be the happiest person to hear the news. It would be hard for her to stifle the giggles and pretend to be sad.
